  • Fellow musicians have been taking the Warpaint single “New Song” and making it into an even newer song. Check out remixes below from Mike D of the Beastie Boys and Jono Ma of Jagwar Ma. Each artist definitely puts their own stamp on it. The original can be found on the LP Heads Up, out now on Rough Trade Records. [Under the Radar]

  • We’ve got a couple more tracks to share from the 30 Days, 30 Songs series, an anti-Trump campaign spearheaded by author and McSweeney’s founder Dave Eggers. EL VY cry out, “Walrus dick jewelry for everyone in America!” in their track “Are These My Jets,” and Thao Nguyen of Thao & The Get Down Stay Down sings “Oh my god no/ No fucking way” in her contribution, “Before You Vote.” Hear them both below. [Stereogum (also here)]

  • Jack White kicked off a new season of A Prairie Home Companion with an acoustic set, representative of his new collection Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016. He was joined by Third Man Records artist Margo Price for The White Stripes‘ “I’m Lonely (But I Ain’t That Lonely Yet).” He also tore through his “City Lights,” “(Margie’s At) The Lincoln Park Inn” (originally by Bobby Bare), and the Raconteurs’ “Carolina Drama.” Watch below: [Pitchfork]
