EKKAH have a new single and video for new track ‘Can’t Give It Up’. It’s a sequin-laced track of sliky downtown pop anchored around a refrain of R-E-A-L L-O-V-E and coupled with a fittingly Deee-Lite esque video.
Can’t Give It Up / Figure It Out (Night Edit) is the second instalment in a trilogy of double A-side, boogie-minded singles from the London via Birmingham duo of Rebecca Wilson and Rebekah Pennington, following their acclaimed DâM FunK produced What’s Up / Space Between Us earlier in the year and their Last Chance To Dance EP which first won them attention. The final instalment is due early next year, ahead of the duo’s debut album coming on RCA. The last few months have seen them supporting artists from Jess Glynne to Kylie Minogue and their hero Nile Rodgers – all the time exuding a warm and positive vibe that subtly highlights the importance of female friendship.
They’ll be playing a UK tour in November (dates below), playing Corsica Studios on November 10th before supporting Shura at Paris’s Point Éphémère on the 17th.
